The Northeast Eagles female u11 tier 1 team had a great experience at the 2022 Christmas Cup tournament hosted by the St. John’s Minor Hockey Association. They played Paradise and Southern Shore Breakers and won both games advancing them to the finals where they faced the host team, St John’s Caps. The game ended in a tie and went to a shoot out to determine the winner.   North East Eagles goalie Charlotte Nixon stood her ground in net and forward Arin Bonia scored the game winning goal. Tanya Schwartz awarded the “Edward Jones” Christmas Cup trophy to team captain Lauren Bragg and the cup has been making it’s rounds through the team.  It was a great tournament with such an exciting finish. All teams put forth an amazing effort and the fans and players alike had a wonderful time.   Thanks Again Caps for the invite.
